Silvey Fleet and BWOC team-up with the BTRC to reduce emissions in truck racing

Following 2024’s exceptional British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC), Silvey Fleet and group company BWOC were once again given the green light to be sustainability partners and sole suppliers of Renewable Diesel (HVO) for the 2025 season.

Mean lean green machines

With the super-sized trucks each weighing it at more than five tonnes and producing in excess of 1000bhp, in recent years carbon emissions had been a growing concern to the event organisers. So Truck Sport UK and the British Automobile Racing Club committed to reducing emissions at truck racing events.

The partnership with Silvey Fleet and BWOC fuelled the way. With Renewable Diesel (HVO) being produced from 100% renewable and sustainable feedstocks, and achieving a net 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions without affecting performance, the future of truck racing looks bright.

New season off to a flyer

Excitement was palpable in the bumper crowd at Brands Hatch ahead of the new season, and the racing didn’t disappoint, with five colossal contests taking place around the world-famous racetrack on what proved a bank holiday bonanza. Silvey Fleet and BWOC-sponsored Team Oliver also celebrated a thrilling win, setting them up for the season ahead.

With seven meetings planned, including one at the iconic Le Mans track in France, if Brands Hatch was anything to go by, this could well be a season for the ages.

Fuelling the future
