Switching to Renewable Diesel (HVO) can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% and it can be used in many existing diesel engines without any modifications*. Not surprisingly, fleet operators and business owners looking to reduce carbon emissions see this flexible drop-in fuel as a viable way of reducing their carbon footprint.
Renewable Diesel (HVO) is a green alternative to traditional diesel. Produced from 100% renewable and sustainable feedstocks it offers a cleaner and more environmentally friendly fuel option to regular diesel and other fossil fuels.
Pure HVO provides maximum sustainability, however, because its chemical composition is so similar to fossil diesel it can also be mixed, or blended, with regular diesel at any ratio. This means if you usually fill up using regular diesel you can top up with Renewable Diesel (HVO), or vice versa – whichever suits you best.
Silvey Fleet is working hard to support customers as they transition to more sustainable fuels. Our fuel card customers can access Renewable Diesel (HVO) on several of our fuel card networks, including UK Fuels, Key Fuels and Fastfuel fuel cards.

*Many major vehicle manufacturers have approved the use of Renewable Diesel (HVO) in their diesel engines however, if you drive an older vehicle, it is worth checking with your manufacturer. Using Renewable Diesel (HVO) in a vehicle that is not approved could invalidate your warranty.
