This year we have chosen to support three local charities: The Grand Appeal, Caring in Bristol and the Bristol Children’s Charity.

As part of The Grand Appeal’s Bristol Children’s Hospital ‘Light Up for Christmas 2023’ we are sponsoring a star in a magical projection that lights up the hospital facade. The Grand Appeal supports Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping improve the quality of life for the thousands of children treated there over the festive period. Money raised through the sponsorship will go towards helping fund two new life-saving ventilators for the Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Silvey Fleet star can be seen on the Children’s hospital every evening throughout December between 4.30 – 10pm!

Caring in Bristol believes that no one should be left out in the cold at Christmas – and we agree. The charity works with vulnerable people experiencing, or at risk of, becoming homeless and have been running Bristol’s Big Christmas Dinner in the heart of the city for 34 years. Money raised is used to provide a hearty Christmas meal for vulnerable people experiencing homelessness, alongside music, entertainment, warmth, care and compassion. Homelessness is becoming an ever-increasing challenge in the UK and it means a lot to us to be able to support such a worthy cause.

Finally we are also supporting Bristol Children’s Charity, an organisation that strives to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in the Bristol area. It provides funding for learning equipment and specialist disability equipment, as well as other basic necessities such as school uniforms or household items. One of our core values is to give back to our community which is why we will be donating to this worthy cause again this year.
